Kernel Press is a Publisher and consulting company working in the fields of Biology, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Computer Science. Authors can contact us to publish their scientific articles, to publish their books, or to create their own journal including technical advice for the setting of editorial software. We offer a set of on-site courses ranging from bioinformatics to on-line publishing. Additionally our specialists can help with the bioinformatic analysis of scientific data.
Founders / consultants
|Dr. Fontaine is co-founder of Kernel Press and Editor-in-chief of Genomics and Computational Biology. He is scientist at the Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz, Germany. He earned his M.S. in Computer Science in 2002, his M.S. in Genomics and Bioinformatics in 2003, and his Ph.D in Cellular Biology in 2007 at the University of Angers, France. He was an Assistant Professor for Computer Science in the Department of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine in Angers where he provided hundreds of hours of classes (2003-2007). He worked at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany, between 2008 and 2014. His research focuses on Computational Biology, Biological data mining, and data integration.|
|Dr. Esparza Gordillo, co-founder of Kernel Press, studied Biology and specialized in Genetics in the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (1995-2000; Spain). During his PhD in the Center for Biological Investigations in Madrid (2000-2005; Spain) he aimed to characterize the genetic basis of various human disorder ranging from Mendelian to complex autoimmune diseases. Since 2005, he works at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin, Germany. His current research interest is the understanding of the molecular basis of human allergic disorders with the use of linkage, genome-wide association, sequencing, QTL mapping and functional genomic approaches.|
